Flags of Pridnestrovie
The design of the Pridnestrovian flag comes directly from the flag of the former MSSR (Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic). Three horizontal bands of red, green and red, with a hammer and sickle in the canton. It has a proportion of 1:2.
A second flag is usually flown along the original one, using the colours of the Russian in a 2:1 proportion. It symbolises the country's close ties with Russia.
Coat of arms (State emblem) of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic
The State Emblem is a crossed hammer and sickle which symbolizes the unity of the workers and peasants, in the rays of the sun rising over the Dniester and framed by ears of wheat and maize, fruits, bunches and brunches of grapes, leaves winded round with a red ribbon with the name the country in the three official languages: Russian on the left, Moldovan in the center, and Ukrainian on the right.
Anthem of Pridnestrovie
The Pridnestrovian national anthem is titled "We Sing the Praises of Transnistria" ("Мы славим тебя, Приднестровье" in Russian) and has three different sets of lyrics, one for each official language of the country (Russian, Ukrainian, Moldovan). The versions differ slightly one from another, but the general meaning is similar.
